Out here, the good girls die.
A careless shepherd once would keep They hang us now in Shrewsbury jail And naked to the hangman's noose And sharp the link of life will snap , 'Whose Line is it Anyway' is the FUNNIEST FUNNIEST FUNNIEST show ever! , Human by The Killers (on my left column), this song have been praised for "stretching the soundscape of alternative rock". , , Suede. , , , Oh goodness, you have no idea what books do to me. , Was out with Shayne in the evening. She commented that I looked so down each time I brought up the council. As I shared with her my thoughts and opinions, I apparently have the "resigned to fate" look. Honestly, I have been so jaded out by being DOE that just thinking about council brings shivers down my spine. Humans being humans, politics are inevitable. I've grown kinda numb till it doesn't bother me anymore. ,
The flocks by moonlight there
And high amongst the glimmering sheep
The dead man stood on air
The whistles blow forlorn
And trains all night groan on the rail
To men that die at morn
The morning clocks will ring
A neck God made for other use
Than strangling in a string
And dead on air will stand
Heels that held up as straight a chap
As treads upon the land

I laughed so loud my parents woke up thinking I was screaming.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Sounds a little like Coldplay doesn't it. Pay my respects to grace and virtue
Send my condolences to good
Give my regards to soul and romance
They always did the best they could
And so long to devotion, you taught me everything I know
Wave good bye, wish me well

They are my favourite band of all time (disbanded in 2003).
I remembered ever since primary school, I was already into music, exploring the different genres deciding which I should 'further' on. The song which got me was the single "Everything Will Flow" by Suede, and yes, this song have been my favourite song even till now.
My blog's url (you-beautifulloser) is a song title from Suede, the title "Everything will flow (in my original blog that is)" obviously is my favourite song from them. The lyrics, are like the motto of my life. Everything will flow. No matter what situation you are in, it will all flow. Don't stand still, don't fight it, have faith and flow along.
The music along with the song is one of the most beautiful pieces I have heard. It never fails to calm me down and remind me of my belief whenever I feel like I'm losing myself to my circumstances. Really, no point in worrying, everything will flow, just move.
It is also awesome to watch them mature as a band. Listen to one of their older songs, compare it with their newer ones, the most obvious change you will notice is from Brett Anderson. His vocals. I absolutely love him so much. I kinda like his 'gay-ish' voice in the past too. Heh. Some of their old videos are banned in some countries. Example, Animal Nitrate music video(click to view). You'll understand why once you see it.See the difference between the image above and the older picture at the beginning?
And here's Brett Anderson when the band was younger-Here's him again in later years-
I had such a crush on him in the past. Wait, I think I still do. Heh. Anyways, was contemplating between putting up their live performance(where Brett Anderson is totally way cool) or their official music video (the music will be much clearer). I decided on the latter.
Please listen! Especially to those who keep asking me to 'intro' them music, if you are into alternative music or brit-indie, Suede will be a good place for you to explore.
Most of the components in my blog are based on music. The image in my template (the one with the girl/swan) is Bjork! I've mentioned this before (in my original blog) that the film "Dancer in the Dark" had such an impact on me, that this image above serves a symbolic purpose. I will talk about that film in another entry, the most depressing film ever.
No wait, I think I'll talk about it now.
Dancer in the Dark. This is a musical film drama which focuses on Selma (played by Bjork) who as a Czech immigrant moved to the US with her son. What nobody knows is that she has this hereditary disease which will cause her to go blind gradually. She has been saving up every penny for her son to go for an operation when he gets older so that he won't have to turn blind like she will. (her son doesn't know) The scene below is really the best scene ever. It was when her friend discovered that she was almost blind already. Listen to the words. The words are what make it so special.
Actually, Selma reminds me of spongebob. (those who know why I really like spongebob will understand what I mean)
This film is probably so significant to me also because of the position I was in when I watched it years back. Tension in my family was reaching an all time high, to the extend I broke down in front of my brother (which I wasn't allowed to actually. long story). He then gave me this stack of depressing stuff, ranging from books on sex slaves to this DVD. Saying these will teach me to appreciate my life as there are others out there who are much worst off than us. After reading and watching his stack, instead of me appreciating my life even more, I felt utterly hopeless! It convinced me on how cold and cruel this world really is. Haha. Backfired bro.
That was a long time ago. Please go watch this film! The ending, THE ENDING! WILL KILL YOU! Utterly kill you. But it really opens up your mind and makes you stronger. Reminds you that in life, a happy ending is not a guarantee.
Oh wells. The neon lights in the night tonight will say
Everything will flow
The stars that shine in the open sky will say
Everything will flow
Lovers kissed with an openness will say
Everything will flow
The cars parked in the hypermarket know
Everything will flow

My being, loves, rebellion, passion, past..No more running wild
I'm Yours for life
Well You got me here
Well You got me
I hear Your call tonight
Your heart is mine
Well You got me here
Well You got me
You drew me out of the deepest sea
You gave my soul a song to sing
You took me up on the mountains high
I see my life in a different light
present
future.

Tomorrow marks the last day for Asia Conference! Excited yet sad at the same time. So far along, Hospitality have been kinder than I expected. Being able to attend all the evening services is totally awesome! Although I dozed off quite a bit during today's and last night's. SO TIRED!
Haven't been sleeping a lot, first night was spent rushing my assignment, last night only got to bed about 2am and had to wake at 5am to report for duty; same thing again for tomorrow morning. There, you can't really blame me for dozing off right. Heh.
Anyways, I found out that one of the major reasons why I enjoy serving during big days is because of the people! My favourite people usually serve on Sundays, thus don't get much chances to hang with them. Plus now as everyone have been serving long hours daily, the weariness can be observed via the increasing lameness.
The funniest moment had to be yesterday when we were trying to make space in the pantry area by clearing all the fruits. Thus Weiming and Henry decided to blend them all into juices. It was such a horrifying experience as they randomly add stuff into it,while using their occupation (the former is a chef, latter a SIA air steward) as a license to poison us. We were all controlling our laughter as the pastors were in both guest rooms. Fun-neh!
Second major reason why I enjoy serving during big days- having to adjust to different visiting pastors' unique habits. Today saw us pasting mahjong paper over all our mirrors and tv screens. Bright colored objects such as the cushions and flowers had to be brought out; the fridge, microwave, almost everything was cleared from the pantry as we moved our base to the conference room. Both guest rooms and the pantry had to be bare and minimal just for today. A very peculiar healing evangelist he is.
So far, the first night is the most significant to me. I opened as I felt the tug at a specific area. Tears were flowing even before Praise finished, the last time I wailed till my fingers were smeared black with eyeliner was during FOP. Yesterday's was alright, dozed off during the first two verses (heh). BUT BUT, I still caught something; Hebrews 13:13! As for today, it was totally electrifying. Presence so strong my hands were trembling inside out. Exciting stuff, an awesome time to be alive ain't it, to be involved in this great move of God.
Oh wells. My hair is almost dry now. Gonna go hit the sack, SLEEPY yet enjoying myself thoroughly.
I love love love my God. No matter what may come, You've got me here! Always do, and always will.
Love you Father!

I just completed the last book in the Age of the Five trilogy, and I cannot stop thinking about Auraya and the wilds. Assignments, readings, work were all pushed aside as I devoured the remaining chapters. Now you understand why mum used to lock all my books during exam periods in secondary school.
sigh.

Come say it straight to my face, trip me in school, crack into my blog and write stuff like "oh i'm not a virgin", pour acid on my face, shave my entire head bald, whatever. The same as how I allocate my time according to what I prioritize, I do the same with my energy.
I allocate my energy according to what is important to me. I no longer bother putting any energy into caring about what others are talking, as what Sanjiv always say, let my events do the talking.
Same thing for VP, let the end results do the talking.
For now, shut your traps.
This week is gonna be HECTIC with school, presentation, assignments datelines, council datelines; along side with Asia Conference where I will be serving everyday straight after school. My leader already prepared a few of us that we may not even have the time to go in for any services. BIG SIGH.
BUT, I am still very excited for it. As mentioned before, I love serving during big days. Plus I know God will be alongside with me, that is good enough.
Have I mentioned that I absolutely adore Pst Tan?
Heh.
The call came today.
And I will not let him down!
:)
